I started going to Urban Rose 2 months ago when I was referred by a friend. As soon as I walked in I was impressed by the way the owner Patricia smiled and welcomed me. The studio was also fresh and immaculate! As soon as she began giving me my hair treatment I knew this was the place Ive been looking for. Its hard to find a curly hair studio where all of the stylist are polite and extremely professional. I went back for a second time this past weekend and the experience was even better this time. This place is the real deal and Patricia and the other stylists are hair experts! Its a state of the art studio! And I recommend this place to everyone who wants to feel comfortable and appreciated in a peaceful, clean environment while receiving the best hair treatment in town! I will be back next month!

Best black hair salon in Jersey City! I moved out of Jersey City and I still take the drive from Monmouth County to get my hair done by Patricia. My hair was very damaged and I wasnt able to maintain my 4c hair at all. Thanks to Patricia Im able to embrace my natural hair more. Dont hesitate, book your appointment and support this black owned business!

I went to get my silk and press at urban rose, first I was made to wait one and a half hours even with my scheduled appointment for 12:30. Patricia did my hair and at first I wasnt convinced it will stay even though she said it will last at least 2 to 3 weeks. Well it is a lie, it didnt even last up to 12 hours. Mind you I didnt sweat and today there was no rain. The hair just didnt stay silk press. I am so pissed cause the reviews on here said Patricia is the one. Well my experience isnt a great one. I have been unable to find a good salon that deals with 4C hair wonderfully in Jersey City. It is so hard. I am not happy with the results.the purple heart was taken at the salon, the green heart was taken at home after 4 hours.

Not a fan. Ive been around 5 times and only 2 times did they actually book my appointment after I got off the phone with them. Ive come in 3 times and they said I had no appointment booked and then proceeded to squeeze me in and bounce me between stylists. They also burned my hair during my last relaxer touch up. They added no product and no heat protector before blow drying and flat ironing my hair. Ive tried to give this place multiple chances and Im just damaging my hair in the process.
