LAKOET SALON DEUX

I leave feeling even more beautiful than how I walked in, my time there is always a great one. The staff is amazing all very talented and kind women!

I have seen Xylo at LaKoet and LaKoet Deux multiple times since 2020. I almost refrained from writing this review because I think she is a great person and stylist. However, I must: The last time I went to LaKoet (Deux) and my hair was styled by Xylo, I had to wait for my appointment time to begin. OK, no worries--I was talked into a treatment for my hair to help with dryness and shine. OK fine, I'll pay for this extra service since I'm waiting anyway. The assistant was new and she fumbled the application of the treatment. OK fine, we're all new on the job sometimes. Xylo finally styled my hair as usual. At the end, my hair looked dry and frizzy, the exact opposite of what I want and expect after paying exorbitant sums for a wash and blowdry. But I was heavily complimented by Xylo and the assistant. OK fine, I paid, tipped, and left and vowed to myself never to return. I was at a wedding reception later that weekend and my close relatives actually commented on my hair looking frizzy and lackluster. Not OK, not fine. I hope the extra money from that treatment I did not need and that actually made my hair look worse was worth losing a regular customer. I do still live in the neighborhood and have to walk by LaKoet and LaKoet Deux all the time so the memory stays fresh. Hopefully this review will bring me the closure & peace to move on from this unfortunate experience. Services: Haircut, Hairstyling

This is the best salon in Jersey City - hands down. I have been going to Kitty and now Xylo for about 10 years and I feel badly I have not take a moment to write a review until now. Not only are both of these artists amazingly talented, the salon are so welcoming, so pleasant, and so relaxing. Every experience I have had has been stellar! And - they are now an Aveda salon too, which is such great news. I highly recommend you give them a shot! Services: Haircut, Hairstyling, Hair coloring

I have been going to la koet for a few years! So happy to see the expansion to deux. Xylo has been cutting my lobs for a while now shes overall wonderful, personable, and great at styling. During the pandemic I came in early August. They took my temp and provided me a stringless mask which they custom made so ir doesnt get in the way of the hair styling, I thought that was pretty cool. Because of occupancy limits theyre seeing 1 or 2 clients only at a time. The place is chic and love the atmosphere. Michelle Service: Hairstyling
