Weve been with Bluthner School of Music for nearly a year and noticed significant impact classes with Katya made on my children. Not only my daughter quickly learned how to play relatively complex pieces with both hands, but Katya also taught her discipline and importance of practice as well as focus and commitment which were very important for my childs development. My daughter also learned to enjoy music and to stop by the piano a few times throughout the evening to practice on her own. Katya motivates her, pushes her when needed, encourages her and picks custom music for her to learn to make it more fun. In fact, my younger son (4.5) asked us to sign him up for her classes as well. If you are simply looking to check the box of taking music classes, this School/Teacher may not be a right fit for you given clearly set expectations and homework assignments; however, I highly recommend Bluthner if you are serious about your child learning the piano and making progress as well as acquiring other important developmental skills throughout the processThe teachers are simply phenomenal!

Kathya is a dedicated and awesome teacher. Best thing about her is that she knows how and when to push the kids to get the best of out of them. Kathya is very flexible in her teaching style. She knew every student level and their potential and pick music according to their style. We had been to Bluthner for 4 years and my son is doing great. Gleb is another gem to school. Lucky to have Bluthner School in Hoboken.

I would like to sincerely thank teachers Ekaterina and Gleb for their invaluable knowledge and their commitment to excellence in everything they do. My 7 y.o. daughter has been studying for a little over 9 months and during this period she already has her own repertoire of 5 small pieces and the experience of performing in front of an audience of 100 people. The teachers are not only incredibly talented musicians and teachers, but also very sensitive and caring mentors. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to study music.

Outstanding school. The teachers are professionally highly qualified and excellent teachers. Both my daughters have been going to Bluthner for over a year and I highly recommend the school. My older child also had her first performance thanks to Ekaterinas efforts.
