I never met Dr. Scianni before my emergency c section (patient at a different practice), but she had my baby delivered 45 seconds after surgery start time, and saved her life. Thank you, Dr. Scianni!

incompetent and unprofessional - I saw Dr. Scianni for my 1st prenatal visit and it was not at all what I expected. This is my second pregnancy and she did not even ask me if this was my first pregnancy. She performed an ultrasound and detected the heart beat at 6 weeks. She left the room and came back to discuss the imaging and measured heart beat. She begins with explaining that the embryo implanted low in my uterus and stated the heart beat was in the low 100s bpm and she would like the heart rate to be from 150-170 bpm. I began to worry and I asked what that meant and she said word for word that Im at a higher risk of miscarriage. I was terrified, I went home and did my research. I learned that at 6 weeks the heart is still forming and that the fetal heart rate was NORMAL. At 6 weeks the average fetal heart rate is between 90-110bpm. By 8-9 weeks the average fetal heart rate is 150-170 bpm. After reading that from a few sources, I requested a second opinion by another dr. in that practice and she confirmed I was correct. I switched practices after that visit and couldnt be happier and stress free.
