I didn't even want to give one star I went from one shelter to another ended up at Brook St which then the case Manger thought it was better for my situation to move me to the dv shelter I was in the process of getting my kids back and I was told they could be reunited with me there they were taken due to domestic violence me being the victim. So anyway I was promised my own room with a code Yada Yada Yada they did that mind you I worked a full time job so I could afford a place on my own since that was the only thing holding me back from getting my kids as they knew they as in YWCA. I was doing good for a few weeks until they decided to put me in a room with a woman who I couldn't even communicate with because she didn't speak English they said when I get my kids back they would then accommodate me mind you this girl that im now sharing a room with isn't even legal which I didn't care about that until they kicked me out for missing house meetings and case management due to me working this woman that I was sharing a room with also had a job one day i switched my schedule so I could attend one of these house meetings which had nothing to do with me just talking about chores and people making a mess talk to the ones that are responsible for that and don't work! On that morning after house meeting I go In the room and this woman was sound asleep and didn't go to house meeting now she's taking her time getting up and getting ready for work as I am rushing I was pissed! So they kicked me out said they would still help me with 1st months rent and security well when it was time they magically ran out of funds they were willing to help me go back to brook st at least I'm glad I didn't because they were shut down few weeks after also due to running out of funds you know what gets me is the fact they ran out of all these funds but didn't house a single person from brook st nor anyone I was at the dv shelter with you do the math something fishy going on if you ask me anyway I just want to thank them for kicking me out because I ended up getting 2 full time jobs working 80 hours a week so I could afford a 3 bedroom on my own and get my kids back! So thank you for that YWCA you suck!
