Went in to change phone service to Consumer Cellular. Bought a new phone. Called current provider to get Transfer Pin which took way too long. They seemed to delay in hopes I would give up and not drop them. They even provided me with my own account pin, instead of a transfer pin. When I called them on it the person assured me it was a computer generated number! I went back to Consumer Cellular again the next day because phone was not released by the phone service I was trying to leave. Consumer Cellular called to get a real Transfer pin and we tried again. After several more days of people telling me they called and only got voicemail and no responses from their texts, I turned my old phone back on and discovered the port of phone and release by former company had still not occurred! So, back to Consumer Cellular and working with Customer Service from both phone companies a new Transfer Pin was generated, the previous company finally released my phone number I was porting and we tested to make sure old phone was no longer active and new phone rang and apps and data was copied to it. Consumer Cellular was awesome about the multiple visits for help working with old company. Very happy with their help, knowledge and informing of what had happened (or not) each time I went in. The follow up on problems caused from previous company was awesome as I would not have known what was going on otherwise. Best Target Consumer Cellular location. All customers knew they had to wait their turn. Workers were proactive and called on other departments to unlock cabinets so customers asking about games or TV accessories could be helped, while CC worker continued helping their own customers. Great attitude and work ethic. Seeing things got handled and completed for a new customer wanting to join them as a provider.
