Do not book here until you know the construction is finished. But of course they dont tell you that up front when booking; not on the phone or website. I called wanting to book and was told the website is the better place to make a reservation. Not only did the person on the phone not mention that most everything is closed, but the website makes no mention of it at all and when asked about it, we dont control the website, corporate does - Im fairly certain corporate knows construction is happening and that they can edit a website. Anyway, fyi the pool with the slides is closed, beach access is closed, the spa is closed, the gym is closed - except a closet of a room with two treadmills (and when we asked for a yoga mat so we werent laying on the dirty carpet, they responded that they dont have a single yoga mat), construction was happening right behind the one pool that was open, with workers walking in front of the pool with tools and dirt. Seriously underwhelmed by this experience. We didnt even have a server at breakfast this morning, I literally got my own drinks. Oh, and make sure you get vouchers for the subpar breakfast buffet so you dont spend $30/person. I was wanting a fun, relaxing vacation with my kids playing on the beach, in the pool with the slide, while I booked a spa appointment, but none of that was available. The fact that they arent super up front with you about it beforehand is what bothers me. THEN the audacity to charge the $35 resort fee DAILY. This would probably be a fun family place to go when they are actually fully functioning, but it was such a disappointment for my kids and family.
