USPS blue box was broken into presidents day weekend, they have no exterior cameras facing front , no care for our personal belongings . horrible customer service , website always has issues . if you can't keep a box secure, then don't offer the service . DO NOT use drop box here unless you want your packages stolen, how can a local donut shop have exterior cameras but a federal post office can't afford them?

Moved or change of address, they will leave a note with the carrier. I had mail stacked from 2 months. I was able to pick up the next business day

Im writing this review to bring awareness to the speed and distracted driving of USPS mail carriers in the keystone neighborhood (68134). At 3:15pm on 3/21, a USPS mailman was speeding up my street and hit our 75lb German Shepherd, whom we had to put down due to her extensive injuries. I know this may be met with some criticism, believe me when I say Ive been riddled with guilt for having her out front playing with me and my daughter, I take responsibility for that. But I dont believe USPS has taken any responsibility of their own. She was cutting across the street chasing a bunny when this occurred. The response from USPS following this incident has been baffling. Immediately following the accident, I was trying to get my severely injured dog back up to my house and watch my daughter as well. Right away the mailman began trying to cover his fault, asking for a statement from me while I was clutching my bleeding dog. I waited 25 minutes in my driveway 3 houses up for my husband to arrive to take our dog to the vet, and during that time the postman never came back to speak with me, even after driving by and seeing me sitting there. A manager, Shelly, showed up sometime later and still no one came up to speak with me. I left to take my dog to the vet and let them know this while driving by. The only thing the manger did was let me know shed have to report the incident to the humane society. No apology, no compassion, no human decency, nothing. I didnt hear anything further from USPS until I personally went online and submitted a customer service complaint. It was then, 6 days after the incident, a customer service member from a different state called me. She did apologize but then told me that they monitor the mail carriers speed which showed the postman was going 9MPH and said he didnt see my dog due to looking at my daughter on the sidewalk on her scooter. She informed me the mail carriers were spoken to about the incident and they would be monitoring their speed more closely in our neighborhood. This response instills zero confidence in me that this will not happen again and feels like the whole thing was brushed under the rug to cover fault. It is nearly impossible to travel UP HILL going 9mph, I tried it and my car was almost at a standstill. My dog was hit so hard that the headlight on the mail truck completely shattered and made a noise Ill never forget, that doesnt happen at a slow speed. My daughter was on her scooter further down the hill from where the incident occurred so it is not possible he couldve been looking at her when he hit my dog. I have multiple neighbors who witnessed the entire accident and agree that he was traveling too fast going up a residential hill and lied in his statements after the fact. But even if he had been watching out for my daughter, one should always be heads up driving and paying attention to all their surroundings. Because what if it had been 2 kids, 3, 5? Had he just been looking up, hed have seen my dog running down the side of the street chasing the bunny before cutting across the road. Someone who drives through residential neighborhoods for a living should be hyper aware when driving at all times. It is clear he was not only speeding but distracted. I sent several follow up emails and calls to USPS following my one phone conversation. I spoke with the manager Shelly, who continued to offer no sympathy, bringing up multiple times the damage to their mail truck and then informing me he was going 19 not 9. Im not sure what to believe at this point as they continue to lie and explain away the accident. I know I cannot change the past, nothing will bring my dog back, but I am sincerely hoping to raise awareness to this incident, to hold USPS (and everyone) accountable for how they drive and how poorly the situation was handled afterwards, so that no other family has to experience this. This was our dog, whom we loved dearly but what keeps eating at me is how easily it couldve been mine or anyone elses children.
