Montana Opticom

Ive had Opticom at two residences now. Both needed an install, which involved trenching in the fiber and interior hookups. Both were ridiculously cheap, and neither required anything more than a 3 month contract. Im a software engineer that works remotely, and reliable internet access is critical. Opticom has been rock solid for the 10+ years Ive used them. I always get exactly the speed I pay for, and have had very few service interruptions. Theres no contracts, they dont push me to use their hardware, its as close to utility-grade reliability and simplicity as Ive had as a consumer. They are a small company, though, and that shows sometimes. Their website is dated, and doesnt provide much in the way of account management tools To be honest, though, I dont care! Their product works, and is reasonably priced.

Service to our house was so fast and did a super nice job quickly troubleshooting the original wiring and powersource. Couldn't be happier!

Absolutely the worst provider. I would recommend going back to using smoke signals rather than to use this company for phone or internet. ZERO Customer Service. You can never get anyone to answer the phone. They keep their door locked and it is impossible to get anything taken care of. You would think that a company with the name Montana Opticom, would be one to take care of the people of Montana. Sadly, this is not the case. I am currently stuck paying them money for services that i am not getting. STAY AWAY!

I have been a customer of Mt. Opticom since its inception some 20 odd years ago. My experience with them has always been more than positive. In the early years when I needed tech support they were there. I don't understand the negative ratings as they have always been an over the top ISP. I particularly like the fact that they are a local company and I believe in supporting local businesses. I recently closed my old account because of the sale of my restaurant and the process was seamless and simple. They were more than helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mt. Opticom to anyone. Good people, good business.

Fantastic service. I've used them for four years. Only one issue and they fixed it within two hours. And the cost is sure reasonable.
