What a wonderful place for a loved one. The staff is exceptionally loving and caring. Food and activities are phenomenal. If you are blessed to have your loved one here, you are relieved they are in excellent hands. Holly, Marco, Mary, Alexis, Johannah and all the other dedicated staff make your family THEIR family.

I worked for Hyalite Country Care as a caregiver when I lived in Bozeman. It is an amazing option for seniors who are want to have more care available, but dont want to move into a facility. Through a calling to love and care for others, LeAnn has transformed her home into this special place that is filled with laughter, warmth, and plenty of opportunities for residents to explore new passions and grow. Throughout the year LeAnn plans fun activities or field trips for the residents, and every summer they have the Hyalite Olympic Games for the whole family. The care is very personal, as well. LeAnn looks at each resident as an individual and works to make sure that they feel comfortable and cared for in their space. As a caregiver myself, LeAnn was a great employer: compassionate and kind, but held high standards for her employees. I can honestly say that this was the best place I have ever worked. The atmosphere is so welcoming, and the care is so personal.

I'm sorry about the other reviewer's experience but this is not the case for our family. In fact our second family member is at Hyalite Country Care. The first one needed a lot of help. The second one not so much. Both have gotten very good care. I would not have placed a second family member there if I did not trust the facility and the care providers of whom I totally appreciate! They all have given loving care and not only the residents know this but our family does as well. We also enjoy interacting with the residents and their family members.

I have a hard time even giving this place one star! They treated my elderly mother terribly. She was left alone, not fed or given water . Thankfully my sister and hospice workers were able to give her the care that they didn't . No clean clothes or sheets. They are understaffed and untrained. How many assisted living facilities do you know of that would call 911 on an 84 year old woman? She has been moved and I would not recommend this place . :(

I went to this facility almost every day for 2 years, it was not at all what we had hoped it would be. It puts on a good image but look out if you wet the bed or need help with your dentures, then you are just too much work.  My mother was an elderly widow with dementia and stage 4 kidney disease on the Medicaid waiver program. When she was issued a notice to move it was legally insufficient. These people still have rights and they deserve to be treated with respect. It was this facility's responsibility to secure a suitable placement for this resident and work with the family and have trial visits in place and a plan for a smooth transfer in place before the letter was ever issued. They did none of this. They issued the notice with a list of places we could try to get in to. We had already placed her name on all possible waiting lists before this, they have year long or more wait times. When we consulted the ombudsman they told us to file for a hearing because this was a clear violation of the law. The hearing judge granted her a stay until a decision was made. There were no other places to go. Waiver workers found only one place they thought might work , but it didn't. The resident then went in to hospice care and became bed ridden and a category b which this facility is licensed for. The care should have never gotten so much worse no matter what category she was, a b or c. This resident was granted a stay until the hearing was over and a decision was made. This facility should have stepped up and owned their mistake and given this resident quality care no matter what. In the end the state gave her the right to stay in this facility because it didn't follow the law in issuing the notice. The facility pushed still and was trying to get her Medicaid waiver taken away and without it she couldn't afford to stay there. So, we were forced to move her into a rest home on an emergency opening. She died one week after we moved her. I see absolutely no quality or compassion in this as far as this facility and the top notch care they claim to provide. I don't think the elderly should ever be treated like this no matter what! One instance like this is too many. There's no excuse for this or the neglect she had to endure while living in this facility.
