Setting Dr. Severa aside, Canyon Creek does all the big things, right. Additionally, the staff at Canyon Creek are genuinely concerned about the residents. They go above and beyond even the highest of standards. That they have been blessed with such a special, caring doctor as Dr. Severa makes a Canyon in Creek tower over its rivals.

Ive worked at Canyon Creek for years, and had the proud honor of serving and loving many seniors over those years like they were my own family. Now that its time for my own Grandma to need it, I couldnt be happier that she will be another resident cared for and loved by my coworkers the same way I love and care for her. I have seen and helped provide the care that I want for her to others along side those coworkers and I know that when I leave at night, I will be able to rest easy knowing shes in the best hands.

I am a home-health therapist who has worked in (not for) this facility and many others in town. While it is always going to seem like theres not enough staff, Ive been impressed that theres always someone buzzing around when I have questions or a resident needs something. When caring for folks with Dementia, there is inevitably someone who will call out for help or is somewhat needy, and in general at Canyon Creek theres someone there to hold a hand and distract the resident so others dont become distraught. Overall this is one of the better-staffed and trained facilities I have worked in.

Canyon Creek is wonderful to my mother. We are so fortunate to have found them! They offer her a warm and welcoming home, as well as give her plenty of opportunities to socialize. She has made friends here and is treated like family.

I can't say enought good things about Canyon Creek and the staff there. I moved my husband to Canyon Creek in August 2023, after he had been at TenderNest Memory Care for 7 months. He had deteriorated in those 7 months to the point he could not walk or talk. In those 7 months he went from 240 pounds down to 160. Because we requested several time, then demanded that they do something to improve the care of my husband, they asked us to leave. Upon arriving at Canyon Creek, the staff was warm, inviting and answered all our questions and concern with direct answers and compassion. The facility was very clean, the food appetizing, and the staff/Doctor were top notch. Within two weeks, my husband was up walking the halls and could communicate with our children and me. He was smiling, gaining weight, and enjoying eating. Even though we were in our tenth year of early onset Alzheimers, we had him back. We only had a short six week with him before he passed. When he passed away, the staff could not have been more compassionate and comforting to all of us. We thank Canyon Creek for making his last six weeks filled with dignity, love, and kindness. I would highly recommend Canyon Creek for your loved ones. They truly care about the residents, and it shows.
