I don't like doing self checkout but they are forcing people to use it by getting rid of all the cashiers. No matter what walmart you call they never answer the phone no mater what department you call either. The customer service desk hours are based on if they have someone who knows how to work that department so no set hours even though they have hours posted.

Bad customer service. We were not given a refund for the lottery. The lottery machine was not working and the machine printed out a small receipt refund. We tried redeeming it one week, and their system was down. I told the employee that I can try coming back another day and the employee did not say anything back. I tried the week after, but was told refunds need to be redeemed on the day it is received. Waste of money. We are not playing the lottery in Walmart again. Zero empathy and care was given by the employees. It is not my fault Walmarts tools do not work. There is no sign on the lottery machine that says it is not working. Some days the customer service department is closed or opens up late. I can not wait all day at home, then randomly go to walmart when their tools or department start to work. Lesson learned. We will not buy lottery tickets at Walmart anymore.
