Highgrove at Big Bend

In case anyone is curious why reviews are so back and forth, this complex is split into two sides on each side of big bend. If you're on the "nice" side, With the leasing office, pool, and workout center, everything is great. If you're on the other side everything is out of sight, out of mind. It's been a few years since I rented here so it probably not completley fair, but my experience began with moving in to find four sticky traps loaded with cockroaches throughout the apartment, continued with being told "yes, you still see cockroaches daily, but no, we won't give you pest control on a weekly basis" plus the pest control person telling me "I've been telling the office not to rent this unit until we get this under control" and ended with the leasing office verbally agreeing to let me terminate my lease one month early with no penalty, and then being told "well we didn't do our job and contact our main office, so your deposit is going to be delayed a month getting back to you." and playing it off like it was my job to contact their bosses and make sure they were doing their job. Sprinkle in the middle leaking windows (reported on move in sheet, told it was "approved to be repaired", moved out without that happening) dishwashers not draining (yay literal floating cockroach soup) and pricing that just didn't make sense. Overall, even if you end up on the "good" side, I can't reccomend doing business with slimy people. Whoever or whatever owns this place is either so disconnected they have never bothered to tour the full property, or so money hungry they don't care.

The maintenance team ROCKS ! Gabe , Al and Mirza are the best! They are always friendly and anytime I need something fixed they are right there immediately addressing the problem. I never have to worry about anything in my apartment- its always taken care of right away, and fixed correctly the first time! I love living at Highgrove, the location is great and so is the staff!!
