Residence Inn by Marriott Kansas City Country Club Plaza

William and Gabrielle were so helpful to ensure our daughter had a great stay for an interview. They helped her find the perfect room and ensured she found safe parking. Thank you so much! **Sadly we had to change our review. 5 stars for the first stay. However, we've attempted to book 2 more times. They couldn't guarantee we'd not be on the fifth floor, so we called back the day before our attempted stay, as the manager suggested. Still no guarantee or even attemp. So, without the elevator (that has been out for months and predicted to be out until midMay) we can't book. We followed their directions each time to secure the 2nd or 3rd floor, yet each time we were told something different. I think it's just time to move on to a different hotel; however, since our first stay was great, we wanted to try to remain loyal.

Great location. Terrible stay. The staff doesnt seem happy, which is the responsibility of management. Probably because they dont have a functioning elevator. I imagine this problem stems from upper management. Whoever oversees this hotel from corporate should be terminated for allowing this. Its also unfair to unbeknownst customers. Not everyone is capable/able/willing. I doubt this is ADA compliant for customers and staff alike.

Great place for staying near the plaza area of Kansas City. Parking garage has limited space so plan ahead. Rooms: The rooms are good but could use a bit of a refresh. Nearby activities: The Plaza shoping area is only a short walk. Walkability: Great walking area. Remember though when you walk down the hill to great restaurants and shopping, you have to walk back up the hill.

Was ok at first. But elevator has been down for weeks. And when booking there is no warning of this. I arrive and of course put on the top floor and Im 50 and have plenty to carry. Would have been nice to know when booking so could have selected another place to stay. Nearby activities: Best attribute is it is near the plaza.
