Brookside 51

I recently visited Brookside 51 and had an amazing tour with Taylor. She showed me all the amenities that Brookside 51 has to offer and answered all my questions. Love the courtyard!

Staff here is very friendly. The common areas are very nicely kept and maintained. I love all of the landscaping and plants on the patio. Its a very convenient location to shops and restaurants.

After living here for 3 years I left at the end of my lease. They are now trying to charge me thousands in rent for months after my lease expired and I explicitly did not renew. I paid every rent payment on time including my final prorated month to 100%. This company will try to scam you for as much as they think they can when you leave. Im lucky enough that I can afford legal advice in this but please do not give these awful people your business. To be clear, these are not cleaning fees or anything like that associated with a normal move out, they are trying to charge me rent after I explicitly did not renew my lease, plus additional fees not included anywhere in the original lease details. Hands down the scummiest landlords Ive ever had the displeasure of interacting with, and have absolutely no respect for tenants. There are many local landlords who will charge way less nearby and will not try to scam you like these awful people do.

It's simply 2 stars for the price. I've lived a lot of places and I know everywhere has problems, but Brookside doesn't deliver for the price tag. Management has been great, but it's the little things. $1500 rent for a place with expanding pipes that go off with hot water or randomly in general. $1500 rent to have to take an elevator to my car that smells like trash 50% of the time. $1500 rent to use a third party company that messed up the lock to my door multiple times and have techs who unplug my modem (???). The only fix I was given for anything was the option to move to another apartment (when one opens up) or be released from my lease. I denied both options, being tired from moving already and thinking I would get used to it. But to pay this much money for these daily inconveniences has worn me down after two months of living here. It just feels less and less worth it.
