This was our second time to go to a Fuzzys, though the first time was years ago in Colorado. Living in TX, we know tacos. We were traveling through and saw this location and thought that sounded good, especially since we rembered enjoying our other visit years ago. Unknown to us, it was Fuzzy's 20th anniversary. When we stepped up to order our food, the first thing the cashier informed us of was that the wait for food would be about 30 minutes long. It wasn't really that crowded, but we just figured they were short staffed or there was a lag time after a busy evening (it was Friday 8 p.m.). We appreciated the heads up but decided to go for it anyway. The menu looked good, we loved that free chips and queso with a $10 order was the evening feature of anniversary. The queso was great! I got the fried shrimp taco and a brisket taco. My husband also got a shrimp taco and something else with the taco platter. In addition to tacos, we ordered drinks, Oreo churros and sopapilla bites. The drinks were good. The brisket taco good. However, the shrimp tacos, churros and sopapilla bites were all bitter from the overused, rancid oil they were fried in. I did mention to the person at the pickup/ cooking window our experience with the bitterness of the various foods from the oil. There was no acknowledgement really, no offer to make anything right. I wasn't looking for that, but would have appreciated feeling heard, that they cared their food tasted bitter and unpleasant. The wait staff were very pleasant, cashiers courteous, our table bussed occasionally as we ate. This experience wouldn't stop me from going again to a Fuzzy's; however, I doubt I would return to this location, or certainly would not order anything that was fried if I did. Parking: There were cars there that night, like a mini car show, personally for anniversary? While the inside of restaurant wasn't very crowded, the patio seemed somewhat full. Parking wasn't impossible, but we got a spot because a car left. Not sure what parking normally would be like?
