I have been doing business with Christian brothers automotive in Independence for over five years. Their service and the work they do is exemplary. They are always friendly, kind, respectful and helpful! They provide courtesy transportation whenever I need it. Their waiting area is clean and comfortable. They are thorough in their easy to understand explanations. I have always been very happy with their work. I will continue to take my vehicle there, and I highly recommend them to others. I brought my car into Christian Brothers in Independence because it was having trouble accelerating up hills and accelerating getting on the highway. I was told that my innercooler and charge air pressure sensor needed to be replaced. I was quoted a little under $1000. When I dropped off my car, I was told I would get it back in a day, two tops. They ended up ordering a part that did not fit my car and had to order another one which would be more expensive and took two days to be delivered. I paid a little over $1200. When I got my car back, the check engine light was not on. As I was getting on the highway to head home, the check engine light turned on. At first I just thought it was a fluke. But as I was getting on the highway the next day, it would not accelerate and was shaking aggressively, which was the whole reason why I brought it in. Im sorry, but if I took my car to get a specific problem fixed and paid $1200 for it, I expect that problem to be resolved. I dont see how it is possible that they test drove my car since the check engine light turned on not even 3 minutes from when I picked it up. I understand what they replaced need to be fixed in the first place, but I was told that what they replaced should fix my problem, and yet here I am out $1200 that I could have used to pay my rent and a car that shakes getting on the highway. I called to make an appointment for it to be looked at again, but I was told since I couldnt drop my car off until later in the day, I would not get it back until the end of the next day, which would have been another day without my car. I will not be returning anytime soon and would not recommend anyone take their car here.
