I just moved to the Starkville area and tried to call University City Urgent care to see if they accepted my insurance and if I could be seen. While I was trying to speak to the lady at the front desk she continued to just talk over me with a progressively growing attitude. I eventually made a comment that maam I dont feel like youre listening and she responded with I have patients and it sounds like you need to go get Covid tested, have a nice day then hung up on me. I was tested for Covid on Monday with a negative result and sent home from a different clinic told I have a sinus infection. I have a history of chronic sinus infections and they often turn to pneumonia. All I wanted to do was schedule an appointment before my symptoms got any worse and instead I was treated with complete disregard from the medical staff at this establishment.
I will gladly drive to another city to receive proper and respectful healthcare. Im appalled at the way that the staff talks to potential new patients, completely unprofessional and they should be ashamed.
