    Update on 3/21/24 - Service department was great until today. I've had to visit the service department (3) times since my June 2023 purchase. Most recently (7 days ago) I spent upwards of $1k for back break pads and rotors. I called the service department because I hear a noise when I apply pressure to my breaks. I spoke with Patrick who was awful and could use a lesson in customer service. Here are the details. First, when I called to relay the noise coming from what I believe to be my breaks (since I only hear it when I hit on breaks), he left me on hold for almost 5 minutes to retrieve my service paperwork. I eventually hung up and called back because I was tired of waiting. He did not apologize for the delay. I explained that I had gotten a front break pad and rotor service a few months back but couldn't recall when. Instead of looking it up, he kept asking me when the service was done. Once he decided to pull the service paperwork, he did not read it in its entirety. He told me that I was told in October that I needed front rotors but didn't get them. After putting me on hold again and speaking to a tech, he realized he was mistaken but still offered no apology. I did in fact pay and receive front rotors and break pads. When I explained that I just wanted someone to ride with me or drive the truck and see if the noise I was hearing when I hit on breaks sounded normal, he told me that I would need to pay for a noise diagnosis. I reminded him I had just paid $1100 7 days ago and shouldn't have to pay for someone to check if it was related to the breaks. He then told me "You didn't pay full price in October. The warranty covered it." It was as if to say the $1100 I spent 7 days ago was irrelevant. When I asked him if the noise diagnosis would include a fee, he said it would. Apparently, since I bought rear break pads and rotors based on a suggestion from my 40k service and not because I initially heard a noise, it made sense to charge me for the noise that is now coming from my breaks following the new break pads and rotor rear service. When I asked what a noise diagnosis would entail, he snapped that it would entail whatever they needed to do to determine where the noise was coming from. I then asked if it would be normal to only hear a noise when I hit on breaks that would be caused by anything other than breaks. He told me it could be 2 things, neither of which were outside of the realm of what was possible with my truck (had to be break related). I then insisted it made no sense for me to be charged for a diagnosis that would check anything outside of my rear breaks. We ended the call with him saying he would have someone call me for an appointment. I received a call from Andy who has waited on me the past two times I received a service. I had not told her about my conversation with Patrick but she advised me to bring the truck in and she'd get someone to look at it. She was very kind and very understanding and said there would NOT be a noise diagnosis fee. I had a great buying experience with Burkie last year and stellar customer service in the service department until today. Patrick, do better. Your attitude was very unnecessary. You made zero effort to be accommodating, understanding or helpful today and are the reason my 5-star initial review has gone to 1-star. Initial review: June 2023 (Sales dept.) Customer service was top notch! Burkie was great to work with, very knowledgeable and went the extra mile! I walked out and there was a red bow on top of my new ride and about 4 employees holding the door and congratulating me. The process was very smooth and Id recommend them and Burkie to anyone. When I buy again, it will be from them!
