I booked through my perkspot offered by mayo for a discount for my daughters birthday. I checked in and was told that i shouldnt have rented a hotel because i was a local but because they had my id and it says cities they let me stay (non refundable either way). we get checked in and they said they would take a holding fee on my card. the next day we checked out they charged my card again (It was already paid for in advance and my card had been charged since it was through third party) we leave. the next morning My phone starts dinging saying my card was being charged my the hotel MULTIPLE TIME they tried taking over $600 dollars off my card. I called up to the hotel and asked why they were doing this they said when the room was trashed. (thankfully i had taken pictures before we left since we did have a party in the room to cover my butt) I went back and forth with the lady and finally when i asked ok why so many charges the lady said while i was just trying to get off as much as i could. I then drove up there with my friend who was there for everything. asked to speak with the hotel manager sat there for an hour because he "was in a meeting" and talked to him he said that thing were broken in the room i asked what then showed how the room was left and he changed his story and said well the cleaning crew cleaned a seat cover and it broke in the wash. Again i asked so why was i charged and why this many times. he said it was my bank trying to take the deposit out and i needed to contact my bank i asked the gentleman to stop trying to charge my card as it had taken money off multiple times. He said the lady wasn't doing that and never said she was. then played the recording for him of her stating she was trying to take off as much as she could he then said bring in bank statements and we will refund whatever is taken out if that is true. I Literally had them with me but he wouldn't take then. I had to go through a 3 month process with my bank and cancel my card and report it as fraud. Even the bank is like yeah this is weird it starts with bigger amounts and goes smaller until they are able to keep getting money off the card even down to the cents. I did end up getting some of the money back but after that experience and them LITERALLY COMITTING FRAUD and charging my card with no reason other than to see how much they could get off of it is insane and i would never recommend this hotel ever again !!!! If i could score a zero i most definitely would! worse experience ever not to mention the rudeness i got and hassle it was to get my money back Noteworthy details: they charge your charge as much as possible to see how much money they can get off of it if their employees break something while cleaning after you leave
