Bruce and Brian were amazing to work with. They listen and make your dream home a reality. This is the second home we have had them build for us. I would recommend these two to anyone wanting to build or remodel. My parents also used them for a project and loved their finished product. All of the contractors that were hired also liked working with them, which speaks volumes. Some of my favorite parts of my home were from the creative ideas they came up with. They are 100% hands on and always available. Rating Vision homes with a 5 star would be insulting, they are so much better than that! Don and Amy Charlson

We just recently moved into our dream home that Vision Homes built for us. The entire process was enjoyable. Brian and Bruce were incredible to work with. They both have a great sense of humor and always made us feel like they were there for us. They were so involved with all of the contractors during each stage of building. Even though we have moved in, Brian still checks in to make sure everything is going well. We love our new home and Vision Homes. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to build a beautiful custom home.

We can’t say enough good things about vision homes. Brian and Bruce are an exceptional team with unique skill sets to build you the home of your dreams. Bruce took our architect’s non-buildable, insanely expensive plan and magically made it practical, livable and cut the cost by 40%. Bruce strikes the perfect balance of listening to your wishes without imposing his ideas. At the same time, he will give you a great opinion if you want it. Turn around time for drawing modifications which invariably happen was very fast. Having gone through the process of using an architect we learned many hard lessons - do your self a favor and come up with some concepts which you like in a home and talk to Bruce, he is better than an architect because in addition to being great home designer, he is involved in the cost and practicality side of things. Bruce’s beautiful plans and ideas are inclusive in the home’s estimated cost - a flat 10% above estimated build cost. In addition, Bruce is always professional and has a great sense of humor - key to the ups and downs of building a home! Brian is also a pleasure to work with and has a lot of experience in lumber, sales and managing sub-contractors. It is tricky to keep the best subs in a competitive market but Brian does a great job at this. Brian has a no nonsense, practical approach and is extremely honest - things you need most to keep things on budget. Brian is a Swiss Army knife type guy able to do a bunch of things himself very well if necessary. Although we closed on our home in October last year, he has been over several times this summer cleaning up the loose ends that invariably remain or occur (I.e. adjust door jams, paint touch ups etc.). Brian like myself is a hopeless Vikings fan and we spent plenty of time laughing/crying about our team. Vision has a unique builders insurance that protects their work even if they go bankrupt - how many others have been burned by not having this I wonder? In the bidding process, our 3 bids where vision’s bid, visions bid - 10%, and Vision’s bid -20%. We also had a 4th bid that was Vision + 40% which we immediately ruled out. The cheaper two bid companies were notorious about going overbid by about 30%. Builders will try to win your business with unrealistic bids - be wary. We chose Vision based on the sense of integrity they instilled. In the end, my wife and I largely stayed within our allowances and came in slightly under budget (luckily my wife is frugal and I love hunting for the best deals). It is possible to stay on budget...if the initial estimate is accurate. My wife and I are so happy we chose Vision homes and are willing to talk to anyone about our experience - simply ask Bruce or Brian for our number (The Köhlers).
