I'm nonbinary and had a name change this past year, first just going by my new name, then officially changing it. I've had no issues at either of my places of work, but here I've run into repeated instances of being called by my former name despite the change and despite asserting my new name repeatedly. It's just one small but important piece of my experience living here. From having my apartment entered into without notice or permission or even explanation, until I asked for it, to having my security deposit held long after I left, living here has been an emotional and financial setback. Wish I'd gone with a different place to live. YMMV but I'd recommend avoiding if you're queer or are looking for a hassle free place to exist. This probably isn't the right place for you.

I recommend live at the Parker. I enjoy the community kitchen. Meet some nice friends, we go out walking and shopping. Keri the manager is does a great job. She is very accommodating, works hard keeping the place clean.

I stayed with the Parker for several months, where I had a wonderful life. As a foreign doctor working at Mayo, the Parker is definitely a very smart choice. It's so close to Mayo, just a ten-minute walk to the main building. Even in the bad weather, it's still easy for me to arrive in time. Most people living there were students and doctors from Mayo. We did have a lot in common. Everyone can make friends and have fun. The landlord lady was so much nice! Any help you need, just let her know. She was always trying to help and did help me a lot. The most important thing is you don't need to bring anything when you move in. The Parker can offer you everything needed for daily life. I love the Parker. Whenever I see the photo on-line, I feel cozy and do miss the Parker and the friends I met there.

I lived in both the Parker and the Beacon managed by Kari and Jared for 1 year. Initially I was apprehensive as I booked the place while I was in India and hadnt even seen the room. Once I got there, I was glad I made the right choice. I had a very good experience living there. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the building is kept exceptionally clean and the maintenance is quick. The parker is a perfect place to make friends if you are new in town.

The Parker is a very good place to live. I only need to spend ten minutes to arrive at my lab. And the price is good enough for everyone. It is very warm and clean in it. It deserves a five stars. I recommend the parker for everyone.
