Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Red Wing, MN

The front desk person was friendly and I believe she was the general manager but I could be wrong. Although we did have to wait for her to finish a phone call and we were tired from driving all day so it annoyed us a little bit. We didnt like the bed and felt the room was not clean. Stopped in for a night on a road trip and ended up going to the super 8 on the way back because they are equally grubby but with bigger bathrooms and we saved $60.

Watch your credit card charges!! Our recent stay was paid in full through their own website before we even checked-in, but 3 different random charges ($87, $64, $168) appeared on my credit card from this hotel during & after our stay. It's been 7 days now & still no resolution. Update (2/13/24, 8 days since checking out): Received a call from the manager at this location (Cheyenne) complaining about me slandering her hotel about fraudulent charges. She said the charges were not fraudulent, they were a mistake. Okay. She ended the call by saying "don't ever stay here again" before slamming down the receiver. I will update again if & when the charges are corrected.

If there was an option for 0 stars I would have chosen it. When we checked in our hotel room was damaged and the window sill was full of dead lady bugs. 5 days after checking out the hotel charged additional fees to our card, we called the hotel and were informed they were "pet fees" and "damage fees". We never had a pet in our room and the room was left in the same condition it was in when we checked in. When we discussed the charges with the hotel manager she was very rude and disrespectful. She advised the lady bugs "come through the HVAC system on a daily basis". The food at breakfast was not good and the hard boiled eggs in the fridge were rotten. I would not recommend staying here unless you want to be illegitimately charged additional fees. I wonder how many other people this hotel has done this to as I am doubting we are the first.

Very disappointed with Country Inn. Usually we have very good experiences with this chain of hotels but, this hotel we were NOT impressed! Our room had some leftover trash on the dresser, the mirror is the bathroom was all chipping, along with the light falling apart. The walls and ceiling had (something) on them.. that could have easily been washed off. The hot tub.. gross! Definitely needed to be drained and cleaned!
