Holiday Inn Express & Suites Red Wing, an IHG Hotel

It was very nice walking in. I think the floors they chose are way to slippery especially for kids leaving the swimming area. But everything was clean and the conference room we rented fit about 30 people comfortably. The price was great. The front desk attendant was polite and helpful. My son's birthday was perfect and we couldn't have done it without this hotel.

Hi, I had reached out to the Holiday Inn in Red Wing back in April of 2023 to set up a room block for our wedding in 2024. They confirmed the details and reservation, both over phone and email. Fast forward to this January, a few guests called and were told the room block was full. After calling the hotel 15 times over the course of 3 days, I learned they had cancelled our room block, were not planning to let me know, and have oversold the hotel for this upcoming August. I am extremely disappointed in this hotel's customer service and willingness to honor their commitments to customers. They are not customer focused, do not demonstrate integrity to do what's right, and if you are planning a wedding in the area, I highly discourage using the holiday inn as I would not trust they will do what they share they will. Their lack of communication and unwillingness to deliver honesty, even when it's hard news, will make me never stay at Holiday Inn again. After finally getting ahold of them and learning what they did, the regional manager shared he would call me the following days with connections and recommendations in the area. I did not hear back which was a chance to make things right because I understand mistakes happen but once again he did not.

It's a decent place to stay but I stayed 5 nights and they "forgot" to clean my room 2 of the 5 nights. Not exactly great service. And this is after I told them about it the first night. I'd give that a 2 or 3 star review. The fact that Tiffina the GM said she would look into it and get back to me and never did (that was 2 weeks ago), that earns them a solid 1 star review in my opinion.
