I LOVE this place. I live in Missouri and have wanted to visit for a long time and finally got the opportunity a few months ago when I was in Minneapolis. It was absolutely amazing- so inclusive, wonderful staff, good organization, large size range, good prices, fans in the fitting rooms. I bought two pairs of pants off the rack that fit me, which is sometimes hard to find, and also two shirts that have become a part of my regular rotation. I really hope someday there's something similar where I live because I really had the best experience here. No notes.

A lovely storefront to visit! Very welcoming, and I was able to find some new favorite pieces for my closet! I have gotten 3 of their Mystery Bags (purchased online), and I have loved every one! It has helped me branch out in fashion, try new things, and look stellar and confident.

2023 Edit: The amount of frustration I have experienced because of Cake is pretty silly. There are so many rules and stipulations and directions for selling, even if you read the whole page on the website about selling, there are some you'll miss and you'll show up only to be disappointed. The not buying on Saturdays thing has kept me from bringing anything in or shopping there for about 5 years, because I work a ton and if I can't come on Sat, I can't really come. I made it work today (a Friday evening), read the page on their site about selling again, took off all the hangers, ran a lint brush over a bunch of clothes, loaded up all the stuff I'd been saving up for literal years, and was excited. It's kind of a haul for me since I live in North Mpls, but I got there after leaving work a little early to make it happen, and was told when I got there at 5:30 pm that they will only be buying for another half hour despite being open until 7. I then asked if I could bring in all my bags for them (packed with Torrid, Lane Bryant, Asos, and Target pieces) and maybe come back another day, but I was told it's one bag max per person. I wanted to scream! As much as I love the body positivity and etc here, I won't be back because of the majorly strict and unnecessary rules that have made it so difficult to deal with the shop at all. In addition, I used to sell handmade plus sized scrunchies here years back, and was getting a pretty small percentage of the sales, so asked about upping the price a bit and was told that the sewing on some of my pieces was "messy" so they probably wouldn't sell for more. Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't the customer decide that...? Pretty bummed, but my experience today was the last straw for me. 2019: Awesome! Cat is super sweet, clothes are super cute, body positive environment. Love Cake!
