Grand Traverse Pavilions

Pavilions is managed by caring, informed and is an updated medical facility. While the pandemic raged, these people took good care of our family. Its quality care despite what the Broken Eagle wrote about it which was IMHO a biased and lacked factual basis.

The Pavilions is one of the worst places I have ever been too and I have been at several. Some of the staff is helpful and kind but I was recently moved from the rehab floor and moved to long term on the second floor. I sat in my wheelchair with my legs hurting so bad I couldnt stand it and my son-in-law and daughter had to keep hunting someone down. I turned my call button on 3 times before they even came other than to finally give me water. After putting me on a machine to get to my chair they let my foot slide and kept jamming it with the wheels on machine they use to move me because Im not ambulatory. I know for the past two days the meals have came really late and Im talking one evening it was 2 hrs late. The food is horrible most of the time. And its always cold and it feels like the air conditioning is on during the night hours. I believe they turn the heat down after the office staff leaves for the night so the residents have to freeze. Some of the CNAs are snippy and talk about their personal lives and how they hate their jobs and you can tell they do because theyre cranky with us patients! If I were you I wouldnt send your loved ones to this place ever! I can hear a lady right now that has been calling and screaming for someone to come and help Her now for over half an hour! This place is the absolute worst and I cannot wait to get out of here and Im actually considering leaving to a different facility! Ive been at the Kalkaska long term before and the Maples in Frankfort and they were very good. Pick something different than The Pavilions for sure!!!

Rose Coleman did a Nobel job. If no one wants to work at a care facility and you can't staff it adequately, you can't take in more residents. The Pavilions is a wonderful place to work. The cna's have heart. Day shift cna have the same people every day for quality of care. I hope more good people will apply and get the staff replenished.

I used to work there at The PavilionsI like To put false Accusations on people that Work there and on all the hallsthe workers can say otherwise And the security cameras can say otherwise because I worked by myself 90% of time if you're not in their click they don't want you around They're very unprofessional Very low end place bottom of the barrel And they won't even let you explain your side of the story Them things I named in this message prove that I didn't do it and they call a liar But yet they don't have physical evidence of any kind Or Witnesses Or sign documents stating that somebody did anything That tells me it's a corrupt hostile work environmentI and letting someone go on false accusations is very wrong I will even take a lie lie detector test because I know I can pass it horrible place I ever worked
