I wouldn’t recommend them to fix anything for you at all! My dads John Deere mower broke in May of 2019, the tractor ran fine but when mower was turned on in it made an awful noise and started smoking…long story short the belt had come off. We took it to them because they were the closest John Deere dealer, and our local Hardware where we had always taken it for the yearly maintenance had just been totally devastated by the 500 year flooding in Sanford days prior. Our mistake! We’ve had it back to them 3 times since May of 2019 all for the exact SAME issue. We just had to have them do work on the belt and pulleys again in August, I’ve mowed 3 times and what do you know…it’s broken again! Unbelievable right? When I called today to explain my frustration let’s just say they definitely lack customer service skills and take zero responsibility for their part in fixing it correctly the first 2 times they had it! Lesson learned, just because you have a John Deere doesn’t mean you need to take it to a John Deere dealership…we’ll be going back to our friendly Sanford local hardware who has always been able to fix it correctly the first time!

I haven't been in this store in about 2 years. The service then wasn't good. I called between 1 and 2 PM , on Friday, September 03, 2021. Was greeted on the phone with a nice sounding man, who asked me, "What can I help you with??" I answered, "I need a part for..." Then was told I "you need the parts department, I will transfer you." I was transferred and the phone rang and rang, and rang....... Had to be a least 20 times, then I was picked up again from the first man I spoke to. He said, "They only have one guy working, he is very busy. Can I take your name and phone number and he will call you back when he can." Said sure" and gave him my information. It is now Saturday 04 and about 2 PM, they close at noon on Saturday and not open on Sunday, plus add in the Labor Day. I understand finding workers is hard right now. Even taking that into account. As a customer, here is my problem and just the aggravation this has caused me. My question is why didn't the man who answered the phone, after knowing the phone was just ringing away and then answering it again. Just ask me, besides just taking my name and number. "What part do you need, will write it down." If he also would have let me finish my statement of what part I was looking for, he probably could have helped me himself. The bolt, washer and cotter key for one of my Deck Suspension Arms fell off. (Have no, clue. The arm just fell on the belt pulley while I was cutting my back yard. Couldn't find the parts.) Sure I can fine the size I need for those parts at any hardware. Problem for me is, leaving my home is a problem. My husband has dementia and cannot be left alone for very long. I figured I could call the John Deere store by me, they could quickly find the size bolt and washer I need, plus the cotter key. Have it all ready when I got there, pay and leave. Figured would be the quickest way for me. Already knew I would be paying more for the products that going to the hardware store. Was willing to do that, to save time and me stressing about leaving my husband alone for that time. (Wondering around a hardware store, trying to find help, plus trying to find the right size bolt, withthe one I will have to take off my factor to bring with me. Still more time takung it off and checking on my husband while doing it.) My very long winded complaint..... I was hoping to be cutting my grass today. (Takes me hours to do, needs to get done,.)I am sure I was forgotten. I was expecting better service than I got. Figured I wasn't ordering parts that would take days to get in.
