We had a great first visit with Dr. Meisel and the team here with our newborn. The front desk answers the phone and is friendly and thorough. Dr. Meisel is finely, open minded, and doesnt pass judgement. She is willing to work with you on the best plan for your child and help you advocate on their behalf. Highly recommend.

They should consider getting a new receptionist. Called to transition the care of my kids to their office from the Cheboygen office since my kids' pediatrician is leaving. The lady was incredibly rude. She asked me several times "You're going to drive your children ALL the way to Petoskey to be seen?" with an attitude in her tone. By the third time she asked me that I said "Is there a problem with that?" She told me no it wasn't a problem but there is only one pediatrician and it's going to be a long time before my kids can be seen. That would be totally okay to wait but the attitude and tone she talked to me with I ended up saying I will look elsewhere and hung up. I felt like I was nothing but a huge inconvenience to her/them. She questioned me why I wasn't going to just try and find someone in Cheboygen and stay there. In my opinion it is none of this ladies business who I choose for my kids to see or how much of a distance I will drive!! I live in a rural area and the closest doctors office to me is an hour away so an extra half hour isn't a big deal to me especially when it comes to my kids! Remember lady, you work for us. If you didnt have patients, you wouldnt have a paycheck! Definitely wouldn't consider using this office ever again after the interaction I encountered today
