Sonesta Select Detroit Novi

The room we stayed in, the center of the mattress cave inwards. Did not sleep well at all. Also, not enough blankets in the room to use for the pull out sofa bed and king size bed. Popcorn ceiling. Pool was cold and water had an unpleasant smell. My child did not enjoy it at all. The fitness center was super basic, small, just a treadmill, elliptical and some weights. Nearby activities: Close to a Walmart super center!

I specifically booked this hotel because they have a pool for my five year old. Upon arrival i was notified that the pool was down for maintenance- indefinitely. The cost of my hotel room is absolutely not justified for the lack of amenities offered. -No breakfast either- I went across the street to the Home2Suites and inquired about using their pool for the day. I was then told that they consistently have customers switch over to their hotel due to cleanliness and over all quality of a hotel room. I was also informed Sonestas pool has been out of service for MONTHS. This needs to be reflected on the website immediately. The TVs are SMALL. And have literally 12 channels- MAX. No streaming services. After stopping over to use the pool at Home2Suites (they gave us almost $60 off because i was so frustrated with my stay at Sonesta), I quickly realized we had made a massive mistake in trying to save a couple of dollars. Higher quality hotel, all around. Hermine, the manager, will absolutely save you from the hellscape that is this destitute, ancient, outdated, and dingy hotel. Save yourself the trouble. Book at the hotel across the street. Sonesta should literally be ashamed that their name is on this building. This is the most outdated stay Ive had at a hotel in the last five years. If youre expecting any kind of luxury while staying here, dont count on it.

I booked a room online and I did it early in the day. I booked a reservation for a queen suite with a balcony. When I arrived to the hotel I was checked in went to the room and noticed it wasn't a suite nor did i have a balcony. I called the front desk to see if there was anything that could be done I paid a total of $330 and the room I was given was not what I paid for. Once speaking with front desk Tyler made it his mission to exceed customer satisfaction with upgrading our room without inconveniencing other guest. Tylers customer service definitely made our experience one to remember.

The room was nice but very dated. The TV was basic, you could not connect anything or stream plus they were like a 32" in both rooms.

Be careful, they will try to charge charges to your card that you did not authorize.
