        Picking a hotel is much easier when calling in to see how they treat guests over the phone. The experience was odd, to say the least.

        This hotel was not a good experience. My daughter has been a Mariott Gold Elite Rewards member for quite a while. We had a late check-in and walked into our room at 2 a.m. hearing the neighbor's TV loudly playing. Daughter had to tell the front desk. The breakfast didn't compare to any other Marriott we stayed at during our vacation. It was poorly tended to and not stocked for the number of people coming through. No gluten-free muffins which are freely accessible at other Mariotts. The lobby and hallways had putrid smell. If it's a cleaning product, the other Mariott's do not smell like this. They charged $225 a night which is outrageous for a hotel like this.
