The bottom of the cement walls broke everything so much we were afraid of a horrible messy collapse

Our stay was not the most desirable, I reserved online for a King Suite with a roll away ($20 fee) for 4 adults. At check, in the front desk staff explained that the pull out couch was my roll away. I explained how that was incorrect, that a roll away was an extra bed as well as the pull out couch. I was given the hotel managers card to call. We went to our room to get settled in and there was a pounding at the door. The front desk person came to tell us he called another employee and they explained they do have roll away beds and he went to go get it. When he came back to the room with the bed he asked if we were from the shelter. I couldn't believe he just asked that. We were there to visit a sick family member. There was only enough towels in the room for 2 people, asked for 2 more sets at front desk received 2 bath towels and a hand towel no wash clothes. No pool towels as well. After talking to the manager, he planned to ensure his front desk had more training in procedures to make the guest stay enjoyable. He also explained they are under new ownership and doing major renovation. And they have just hired new staff. As for the question, are we from the shelter, it was explained that they no longer have contracts with the homeless shelters, so maybe the front desk person was just trying to follow hotel policy, he just went about it the wrong way.

bedbugs were found. booked seven rooms, went to check in and there was only three. had two queen beds per room, turned out to be fulls. the layout is strange and the pool makes everything humid. people are loud.

Staff was very helpful in getting rooms coordinated after MSU mixed up some reservations The manager (I believe named Erika) showed up almost immediately and was very professional + friendly, very thankful she and the other front desk workers were able to figure out the situation and find a solution so well! :)
