I have used Danford twice in the last few weeks. First, I dropped off a bunch of shirts for laundry and press--definitely the cheapest I've seen in a while at only $2.70/shirt. Shirts were finished within a few days as promised. However, one of the collar buttons on one of my shirts was broken--it looked like it had been melted off (see pic). I went to put on the shirt and wasn't able to button the collar because of it... sucks that I didn't discover this until right before a wedding rehearsal dinner. After the wedding, I took a suit in for dry cleaning and asked if they could repair the button. The clerk told me to return during an earlier time of day and talk to the owners (which seemed odd for such a small request). So when I picked up the suit, I spoke with a woman who was presumably the owner, who flatly told me that they are not responsible for buttons, but she could sew a new one on for a few dollars. When I politely asked if this was typical, she simply flipped my receipt over to show me some boilerplate disclosures about not being responsible for a whole host of damages. She also said she had no way of knowing whether the button was damaged prior to arrival at the cleaners. (It was not... if it were, I would have asked them to also repair the button and paid extra for that service). Even if they weren't willing to repair their mistakes, they could have at least pointed out the broken button so I had an opportunity to get it repaired before taking it to a wedding (checking the buttons on a shirt before/after cleaning isn't that complicated). I came prepared to be very understanding about the broken button, but did expect them to fix the button when pointed out, or at least be apologetic. The owner was neither apologetic nor willing to fix the button (without charging a small fee). Her unwillingness to fix a button that they broke--regardless of the boilerplate disclosures on the back of the receipt--is a sign of poor customer service and indicates that they cannot be trusted with more expensive garments I have. As a result, I will not return to them. They may be cheap, but they do not stand behind their work. Services: Special care fabric cleaning, Ironing, Laundry pick-up
