Hampton Inn Jackson

This hotel likely has bed bugs. We stayed in a different hotel for 5 nights and this hotel for the 6th night. Both my friend and I that I was traveling with and sharing a room have bed bug bites.

Elevator is broken. Upon walking up to the doors, all we could smell was weed. Then as you walked through the doors a wa. Chlorine hits you It took about ten minutes to get someone to come to the desk, even after repeat bell ringing. Another party had come in behind us and we believe they heard us talking before coming out of the back room. He let us know the elevator was broken and that the only room left were on the third floor. Having had surgery a week ago, this was not good. We almost left and went across the street. But the nice man offered to carry our bags up for us. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything happen in adjoining rooms. As you walk the hall to the stairs all you can smell is weed. It seems like there are permanent residents that live here. The one side of the toaster is broken so there was a line for the toaster. Hard boiled eggs look so old they could be plastic. Many of the workers seemed high. Oh and they charged us twice. We had prepaid, and then got charged again upon check in, even though we explained and showed the receipt that we prepaid.

I feel that it is far too expensive for what it is. Our room wasnt clean upon arrival. Crumbs, little wrappers strewn about. Somebodys old steak and shake in the freezer still that we had to dispose of. Our sheets and bedding were also poorly cleaned if at all. Not super impressed and probably will skip this location in the future.

The hotel was conveniently located to the area of town that I need to be at. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean enough that I felt like I got what I paid for. The breakfast was awesome and a huge plus to my stay here. The attendant was helpful and kept everything stocked. The price for a two-day stay was fair, and a 2 day stay I was happy. The pool is a little chilly, but my daughter enjoyed it. The rooms were like the photos online. Shower was hot and the soap provided was nice. I brought my own soap just because it was my preference. Noteworthy details: breakfast was nice.
