I honestly don't know if I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Where to begin, (assumed) blood stains on the mattress when i lifted the sheet up. Crusty stuff on carpet. The door handle is missing on the bathroom door, the mattress is gross like they bought it from a truck driver. The toilet wouldn't stop running. The office chair was ripped and stained, carpet was dirty nasty...grease stains all over. The pool was nice but appears to not be cleaned properly, lots of hard water and rust stains. At least the staff was willing to refund our room.

Not the type to leave bad reviews but our stay was bad enough that I feel obligated to. It was not a nice experience! We booked one night over the weekend. We checked in, got our key card, and went to our room. There was someone else in there, with the lights out, and curtains drawn at 3 in the afternoon! When we went to the front desk they had no idea what was going on and only gave us free breakfast to make up for it. It didnt feel handled in a professional way. Not a great start. The facilities, like the elevator seemed old and faulty. The room could have been better. There was dirt and grim in the corners, the sink was chipping and a random pillow case was left crumpled on the couch when we got in. The pool was oldthe kids area and water slides had chipping paint and rust and were clearly very outdated. The water was murky and the floor was chipping too. Then at night the noise was awful, they advertise sound proof rooms but it wasnt in the slightest. The highway and footsteps above us were particularly loud late at night. Also a wild birthday party was happening across the hallwhich is expressly against the rules. Then at night the smell of weed drifted into our bathroom from the vents and stunk up our room for a good while. Then the next morning for breakfast we went to the restaurant, which we had to order, which was annoying already. So my son and husband have a lot of allergies and we were simply asking for substitutes, like bacon and a fruit cup on the sidefor some reason they refused to work with us. They said it was against the rules? We had order the entire meals, which included their allergens to get the sides. When we got the food it was in ridiculously small portions and tasted awful. My son and husband were left with next to no food. I tried to order a cappuccino and they said their machine was broken. And then the employees were unprofessional and rude to boot. Truly the worst breakfast experience Ive had at a hotel before. Dont go to this hotel, you will be disappointed and frustrated for the entirety of your stay.

This hotel isnt worth the price. The front desk staff is friendly but thats about all they have to offer. If it wasnt for our stay already being booked and paid for, I certainly would have left earlier. Upon entering the hotel looks nice, but once you get upstairs youll see spilled coffee and drinks on the floor, overflowed trash cans, and unattended children running up and down the hallways throughout the night. Our room seemed reasonably clean, the only thing it lacked was toilet paper so no complaints in that area. My biggest disappointment is what we were looking forward too, and that was the pool area. Im not sure where to even start. This pool area is extremely unsanitary and unsafe. No one is monitoring the people coming in and out the pool area and making sure the kids that do come in and out are being supervised. Anyone could walk into the swimming area at any moment without being a guest to the hotel, thats how much they dont pay attention nor do they check for wristbands like they pretend to do. I witnessed teenagers purposely jumping over young childrens heads while I was there. Splashing kids just because. My daughter ended up with a tiny knot on her head after being kicked by one of the teenage boys there. It may have been the same boy that kept saying she got a whale over and over in regards to my back side which I felt completely violated while his sorry mother sat there in the hot tub and watched him. My daughter also ended up with a popped blood vessel in her eye after being sprayed in the face with a water gun by a young boy yesterday evening. His mom, also sitting right there. During our 4 days here not once did I see them treating or cleaning the inside of the pool. All they would do in the morning was turn the water on and continue to go on about their day while neglecting the maintenance and cleaning that this pool oh so desperately needs. And dont you dare be fooled by these out of date photos of the facility. That isnt what it looks like at all. The pool is murky, cloudy and turning green. It even has that smell of urine The hot tub has a build up of chemicals and solids that produces a very thick layer of foam. On the bottom of the hot tub you can feel dirt and sand particles between your toes. When we first arrived people had very young children in the hot tub for way past recommended time for even adults to be in a hot tub. It made it hard for the adults to enjoy ourselves in my opinion being thats the little space we had. Then on our last morning, (today) hot tub was shut down to our surprise. They are a hot, unorganized mess. Also, we didnt appreciate how yesterday (Wednesday April the 3rd) around 12:30 pm in room 215 a housekeeper walked straight into our room. She knocked once and as I was about to open the door she walked straight in which I thought was completely inappropriate. What if I was naked?! Then she had an entitled attitude after I asked her about it. I said hey you cant just open the door while were in here thats a violation to our privacy she just bobbed her head and smurked. We left right after as we were leaving for lunch anyways. When we came back we realized she didnt even end up cleaning anything nor taking the trash out so I found it extremely suspicious she walked into our room, to only end up not cleaning, not restocking our toilet paper etc. We had to end up hiding our tablets and electronics just to be sure. This place is for sure kinda sketchy. It wasnt the worst experience Ive ever had, but would I stay here again? Absolutely not!

Check in was fast and the gentleman was so polite and nice! The room was updated beautifully and was done well. The beds were super soft. No Chanel guide but we found cartoons. Everything was spotless! The pool was great, clean, and the kids had a blast. Breakfast was good and quick! Lots of super tasty options and very kind staff. Checkout was a breeze! Good value too,

An awful experience, that made me feel compelled to write a review. Dirty hotel, unsanitary pool, fraudulent business practices, and even worse customer service. Booked two adjoining rooms with my sisters family so we could enjoy Grand Rapids, and kids could enjoy the indoor pool. During our two night stay, we had numerous issues. Both rooms had a general "yucky" feel. Food and trash behind furniture and in every nook/crevice. Overall cleanliness was superficial and evident it lacked deep cleaning. One room had a sink that wouldn't drain, and black water/debris coming from sink plumbing once it would overflow. Another room had blinds that would only go up, not down, and of course that was the room we intended to be the nap room for the kids. Heat/AC control had non-functional controls. It took over 24 hours for them to fix the mechanical issues. Pool water was nasty, especially the hot tub. Water was brownish in color and the smell made the whole pool room smell like feet or yeast. We prepaid for breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. Only to learn they are short staffed and it was an hour or two wait time for service. So we didn't even use our food voucher that we paid for. After a horrible weekend experience at the hotel, we later found out we had incurred additional fraudulent charges. We were charged $30 for extra wrist bands for the pool, and $750 for a broken TV we never touched or used. After trying to resolve my issues, I received a comp night at their hotel for the sink that wouldn't drain and blinds/heat that were non-functional. But they still want to charge me $30 for extra pool passes and $750 for a broken TV. This experience will ensure I never go back to this hotel or any Holiday Inn in the future.
