      • Fly, You Fools

        Gorgeous place for an autumn walk. No man made noises here this time of year. Serene quiet forest paths between the dear little Bog Lake and the stunning shore of Lake Michigan. Ive traveled all the continental US for nearly 5 decades, and have seen a lot of wonders, but the humble event of seeing a Great Lake shoreline ahead through a thinning forest is one of the earliest wonders of my life and remains the most heartening, comforting, and exciting views.

        It was exactly what I was looking for- a beautiful camp spot without neighbors. Self pay station was close. Water on site, but not at every campsite. Restrooms were clean. I would return here in a heartbeat.

        This place was beautiful. $20 a night + $10 a night for out of state car. No showers, but there is plenty of well water and outhouses. There are only come first serve campsites. We arrived late on a Friday night in August and got the last spot. Some sites are a little close to neighbors, but the waves of Lake Michigan drown out any noise.
