    Carriage Hill East/DTN Management was the worst management company I've ever experienced. I had a similar experience to Luyao Yuan who also did a review with one star. When I moved in, there were many issues, including being lied to about the remodeling of the unit I chose. I asked if the remodeling was the same as the one in the picture on the website and was told it was. It definitely was nowhere close to that level of remodeling. When I brought this to management's attention, I was told the cabinets were remodeled at some point. In the picture, much more remodeling was done. I felt taken advantage of since I was moving from out of state and couldn't see the unit in person. In the same week I moved in, I quickly signed a form to do a lease takeover so someone could take over my lease and I could get out of there as quickly as possible. I found someone to take over the lease (not management) and I moved out three months after my lease had started. Some of the issues I had reported and followed up on several times when moving in a month after my lease start, still had not been resolved two months later when I moved out. Plus, more issues surfaced since that time. I had to follow up on my security deposit and was told that I owed them money. They were incorrect and did end up sending me a security check much later, the week of Christmas. I had seven days to contest it. I was out of town for the holiday and missed that chance. I was charged for things that I shouldn't have been. If you are considering an apartment with DTN Management, I highly suggest you find somewhere else to live. The people that work in the office tell you one thing and do something else or do nothing. They are kind to your face but don't act upon most of the maintenance requests, including safety issues.

    Irresponsible leasing office. We feel that we are not respected at all as residents. When we moved it, there were a lot of problems. All those issues should have been avoided by the property inspection. Anyway we had to communicate with the office. However, the staff are very impatient and not showing respect. Its not our fault but every time when we reached out, they made it like its our fault and we are bothering them. Obviously they did not want to talk to or see us because we had a lot of questions/problems/requests. In addition, every time when we made requests, the office said ok we will make a note. And then nothing happened - nobody solved the problem. When we tried to follow up, they said they could not find any record, which is RIDICULOUS. For example, in order to make sure they received our request of air duct cleaning, I called them several months in advance of move-in date as well as close to moving in as a reminder. They confirmed every time but it was never done. Even until now, two weeks after moving in, its still not done. Plus we are still waiting for them to fix other issues. I cannot imagine how everything operates in the management team. Another story which made me feel upset is that I called them after my application about referrals, and the office staff confirmed and said that he/she would take a note to keep in record. However, after we moved in, they said there is no official record and even though they tried to explain, they suspected I was lying It seems we had many unpleasant stories with the office, which is not what I expect obviously. Again, we did not do anything wrong. We just want everything to be done correctly so we can avoid those back-and-forth conversations, which is very frustrating.
