Words cant even begin to describe the amazing people this family is. From the mom when you first call down to there 2 boys they are incredible. During our worst time they made us feel loved and cared for. They helped walk us thru the whole process. I couldnt have picked any better of a place. Please if you want someone that goes above and beyond during a difficult time this is the place.

I am very grateful to the Duzak family. When my mother died in May 2023 in Dearborn, a friend referred us to Duzak Funeral & Cremation Center. At such an intense time of grief, the last thing I wanted was a sales pitch. What I got was patience, compassion and plain talk about options without any sense of pressure. I highly recommend to anyone in need of arrangements to contact this lovely company. I expect you will not be disappointed. Your loved one will be cared for with dignity and respect.

THE SADDEST TIME IN MY WAS EASED. THIS COMPANY MADE A HORRIBLE TIME SO MUCH BETTER BY TAKING CARE OF MY MAMMA

My dad passed away in 2012. After trying to get services done at 2 other funeral homes on Warren Ave, too costly and couldnt afford (me and my sister) then we went to Duzak. He told us the cost of the bare minimal service would cost. Lower cost but still unaffordable to us. Then he asked us if we had an aunt Dolly (I was born on her birthday) yes we do. He proceeds to tell us that he dated her back in high school. After affirming the relation to our dads brothers former wife, he informed us that if there are any funds in his bank account (and to avoid probate and lengthy process) he said that banks have a document that can transfer the money to the funeral home to pay for the funeral! I knew he still had money in his savings from the settlement he received from being denied a few times by Ss disability back pay from the first time he applied. (My sister attained a lawyer to help him get approval for disability) he banked at the corner of the street he grew up on. We get called by the desk banker. She immediately looked extremely familiar. Then she said that I probably knew her from being on Biggest Loser. Im like yep, I watched every season up till it ended. So we told her our dilemma. She pulled up dads account and said Im not allowed to show you his balance but we will transfer the money to the funeral home. She then proceeded to slightly turn her computer monitor to show me the balance. I was very happy that with that we should definitely be able to get him the minimum service. I still have her business card from that day (the day after our dad passed away) we had a viewing, one day service. Instead of using their priest, my best friends mom, his dad was best friends with my dad. A family member of hers was a priest which saved us much of the cost of having a priest. My dad grew up Catholic, and going to church and their grade school (SS. Peter and Paul) he still pretty regularly still went to church on Sundays. He was within walking distance from our house, before 2000 grandpa would always come get him. Which is why we opted for the priest. I received a phone call about 10 days after my dads funeral. His ashes were ready to be picked up. We were without a vehicle for 4/5 previous to him passing, and my sisters car broke down the day we went downtown Detroit to get his wallet back. Since my vehicle died for good, our awesome neighbor told me that any time I needed to go to the store or medical/dental appts that I would be able to since she decided earlier that year to be a stay at home mom. On the day he passed (my entire family from our block had just went up north for vacation) The only person that didnt go was my cousins wife. For a week previously my aunt begged him to go to the hospital (he refused) he was feeling heart attack symptoms the previous week and possibly may have had a mild heart attack, before him having the heart attack that caused his death. My cousins wife decided to leave the block towards Warren Ave we never did that we went the opposite direction typically, for some reason she decided to do that is beyond me. She had seen something out of the corner of her eye and stopped to investigate. She had seen my dads feet angled towards his steps. He tried to sit down on his porch chair, but he was partially on the chair. My cousin attempted to move him to preform cpr but couldnt move him into a position to be able to. Joy rd fire arrived first and couldnt revive him. I had thought he was leaving to go get the newspaper, he got one practically every weekend and sometimes during the week. I found out very recently 2yrs ago that he was still warm when my cousin found him. Neither of my cousins wives had either of our phone numbers. My 2 cousins married sisters. My oldest cousin and his wife attended kindergarten because catholic schools didnt offer Kinder. They grew up 2 blocks away from each other and my cousin was friends with their brother. My other cousins wife remembered that my sister worked at Briarwood mall at Master Cuts.
