I'm done dealing with ServPro-Dearborn. I don't care to talk anymore to anyone there again with the bad experiences.

Maureen Winfree of ServPro-Dearborn AND her attorney, Marie Racine, made the NEWS - and NOT in a good way. According to Melvindale city news - "ServPro more than doubles bill for mold remediation". Just google "Melvindale ServPro Dearborn" or "Melvindale Maureen Winfree" and read the scoop on the company before deciding whether or not YOU would want to do business with them. I wouldn't. The Melvindale City attorney, a Mr. Coogan said. "I cannot believe that this is the first municipality that ServPro has worked with, and expected to get a blank check.” “Everybody that is involved right now, the council, and everybody here, a figure of $8,000 was brought to this council, and we actually gave $2,000 above that, because we have no idea what this stuff costs,” Marsee said. “It was capped at that, but now you are coming back to us for $11,000, more than twice of what we capped it at. We are amazed at how that could happen.” He said the city council members should be provided with all of the documentation to support the additional $11,000 in unauthorized charges. “We did not write a blank check,” Marsee said, infering that Maureen Winfree thought she could charge anything she wanted for work that she did. Interestingly enough, the City Council contacted the subcontractors that Maureen had, and the council was quoted a different price from them than Maureen provided the council. Marie Racine (Maureen's attorney) said it was "inappropriate", but in reality IT WAS APPROPRIATE because it appeared Maureen was trying to get MORE for her services than what she quoted the Council.
