This hotel canceled our reservation, without any compensation, 3 days before the Boston Marathon weekend. Thank you for looking for another place in these conditions. Since they changed their name, their communication, prices and reservation systems have been a disaster. Thank you very much! I will never try the experiment again. NB: no one answers the phone, don't even try.

Honestly, I was a little worried about going here because of the recent change in management and a few recent reviews, but overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and mostly clean. The furniture probably needs some replacing though, like the chair and couch in the living room. They both were a bit dirty and worn. The tvs were pretty bad too. But this place has tons of potential and we enjoyed our 1 night stay. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen. We even had a little slider in the bedroom to a little stoop outside in our first floor room. I think if they update the tvs and update the living room furniture too, and it'd go up to a 5 star review. The TVs were ancient in both bedrooms and in the living room. Picture was terrible and like there was bad reception. I think the hours for the office are not great either, and they don't offer breakfast, but for the room size and the price, this was a great place to stay, and I recommend it.

This is a short and long stay hotel. The property is well kept but it is a bit off the beaten path. They don't have breakfast or anyone working after 8 PM so if you need something, like locking yourself out of a room, you are out of luck. The rooms are decent and a great feature is the full kitchen (range microwave, full small fridge freezer, dishwasher and silverware. Our freezer door wouldn't stay closed so that was a bit of a nuisance. The Wi-Fi was strong. The pull out sofa wasn't great but if you need it don't forget sheets at the front desk. I would stay here again but I would get a room with 2 beds instead of the pull out.

I stayed at the AVIA Residences On Research on a Saturday evening in March on a trip to New England for a ski trip with two friends. The hotel is located close to the highway and is about 45 minutes outside of Boston. There are a few places close by, but you would probably have to drive to find a restaurant. For being close to the highway, it was a quiet location. The rooms are located outside in separate buildings from the check-in building. In the center of the complex, there is a basketball court and a pool. There was plenty of open parking as the layout of the facility is a large triangle with parking around the entire complex. When we arrived at the hotel, I noticed that there was a gate around the check-in desk. Fortunately, there was an attendant that was about to leave that was able to give me my key card and show me where my room was. She also said that they close the front desk at 6pm on weekends and 8pm on weeknights, so I recommend arriving before then. There was a call number on the check-in desk, but I'm not sure how they help you after they leave. We took the covered steps outside on our building to the third floor to get to our room. The room was clean when we entered and had a lot of space. Our room had two separate bedrooms on either side of the room and a living area in the middle with a pull out sofa and a kitchen area. It was difficult to find a hotel in the area with three beds that was reasonably priced as this hotel. Overall, I had a great stay at the Avia Residences On Research for the one night we were there. If you are looking for a reasonably priced room outside the Boston area with more than two beds, I recommend this hotel as the place to stay.

This is my second Sonesta ES Suite to stay at. While the first one was mediocre, I thought I'd give them another shot. I'm always drawn to the sq footage of the rooms. This will be the last time I make that mistake. The breakfast was lacking to say the least. The hot items included powdered eggs and sausage, neither was hot, but they were the two cooked items. The other options were oatmeal, bagels and toast. The room was missing many items that should help make it a suite with a kitchen. There was no baking sheets or pots. Only 1 lid to a pot and one skillet. This negates having a kitchen to be able to buy things and cook in the room. Snow removal upon arrival was non existent. It hadn't snowed that day and the pictures show the icy sidewalks. The rooms are non smoking, so most people are smoking their pot on the balconies. While that isn't a fault of the hotels, it just seemed very regular of the tenants there. Nothing is walkable within reason, no restaurants, stores, gas stations.
