image We just tried to bring our dog here on an emergency and was turned away because we rushed in begging for immediate help. They said their COVID policy was being violated and to take our dog somewhere else - even as she was actively having a seizure.
We went to Blue Pearl and they immediately took her in and did a scan and let us know her spleen was bleeding. She needed immediate life sustaining care - which she got - somewhere else than Angell Memorial. We had bad experiences now with BOTH Boston and Angell West and will never go there again.

image Inexperienced exotic department. My bunny died here due to the exotic team's incompetence. Money hungry doctors prioritize profits over care. Worst vet experience.

image I can not say enough good things about Dr. Staudenmaier and Sarah, the Avian & Exotic Technician. They are both so kind and they both truly care about the animals. They are not pushy and I felt very happy leaving Angell. I will be coming to Angell West from now on. Thank you guys!

image We called emergency vets in the area regarding your rabbit refusing to eat, drink and not pooing (which is extremely dangerous in rabbits). We were told that they had an exotic expert which is why we went here.
12:40 - check in. Before they would see our pet, we have to pay $250. Vet tech came to get history.
2:50ish - got called into one of the rooms. Emergency vet confirmed his diet with us and told us that our rabbit was not eating and that his heart rate was lower than normal. They then asked us if we wanted to consult with an exotic vet for another $80. This got extremely annoyed since the whole point of coming here was to get our rabbit checked out by an exotic vet specialist. We ended up saying yes.
4:50 - got called into room again. No exotic vet specalist talked to us at all. The emergency vet relayed what the exotic vet said, the same thing + that his stomach was doughy because he was likely dehydrated (which we knew since he wasn't drinking water).
During this time they then hand us an itemized list of possible things (blood work, xray, etc.) to determine what was wrong with our rabbit. ($1200 to $1800). We were hesitant to work with them since it took them almost 5 hours to tell us our rabbit wasn't eating and he was dehydrated.
We went with the outpatient option of painkiller, antibiotic and critical care (5 days) for a total of $500.
Then took another hour to actually get our rabbit.
I'm so horribly disappointed with them. It was my first and LAST time bringing my rabbit here. I've been to multiple emergency centers and vets around MA for various problems and I have never had such awful care.
