Dr. Sandra Makkar, DDS

After 2 years of restoring my upper teeth with a local dentist, whom I trusted, I began to experience extreme pain in an upper tooth. I was referred to Dr. Makkar who is outstanding on so many levels . The root canal was painless , preformed in a swift manner and healed beautifully. Unfortunately I had to return to see Dr.Makkar last week due to more pain in the newly restored upper teeth. She was caring, direct and honest with me , in that I had several infections that root canals would eliminate , but instead of preforming them she Informed me it was not in my best interest to do so. Unlike my dentist she didnt want to put a band-aide on a broken bone. She was a professional health care provider and referred me to the proper dental solution.. I highly appreciated her honesty and concern . Shes one of a kind , the type of healthcare provider that existed 25 yrs ago . She has my utmost respect., clearly I highly recommend Dr Makkar.

Dr Makkar did a root canal for me and her care was outstanding. Faster than I would have thought and pretty much a pain free experience. I've got half of my mouth back in use for the first time in years! Wish I had done it sooner. Tim Hough MD

Dr. Makkar went out of her way to fully explain the procedure and technology being used. She was diligent about ensuring my comfort and had a great overall demeanor.

I needed my first root canal and was not to excited about it. I didnt want to do a review until it was completed. Today I had the second part done. Now I feel safe saying it was not one percent as bad as I thought it would be. Fantastic doctor made me feel very comfortable through both visits. No pain. Seriously just the Novacaine needle to numb things up. Great dental assistants and front desk staff. Beautiful office. Thank You

I had a terrible experience with Dr Makkar. She used a solution in my root canal that caused a severe burning sensation and when I alerted her , she downplayed it & said it would end soon. It kept getting worse & she did not respond except to repeat it would get better. I have a high pain threshold ; but this was terrible. Tears were pouring out of my eyes. She kept minimizing my extreme pain despite it all, describing it as an irritation. I said she she should have warned me this could happen. Why would they use a substance that can cause such severe reaction? This is a very expensive procedure & to be subjected to this which is described as painless is ludicrous & unacceptable.
