The apartments here are extremely old and unkept. They are not given any level of care or conditioning they should. There are no amenities at all. This place is not recommended for families as there isn't a safe place for children to play. Management demeanor toward tenants is very hostile. There is no point in complaining as Barkan Management won't take any measures to rectify all of the issues these apartments and their management have. These apartments don't belong in Newton. I have seen better units in urban areas of Boston for better prices. Find somewhere else to live. This place is not it!

Apparently, rules here are for tenants only. The role of management is to create a hostile environment, punish complainers, keep tenants scared of potential eviction for any reason or without any reason. The management is not concerned with increasingly unsanitary conditions of commonly used areas such as laundry room and dumpsters. Tenants have no other choice but washing washers and floor in laundry room before using it. Dumpster areas became dangerous because of lots of trash and food leftovers on surrounding grounds have attracted all kinds of wild animals, birds, rats/mice - all of them are there during evenings/nights, and they also found homes at tenant's patios and surrounding bushes. No way of getting out of apartment in night without fear - coyotes are running throw-out of site hunting, mating and watching tenant's pets.

If your life long dream is to live on a military base then this is the place for you.
But if you enjoy living where you're not constantly monitored by management, were everyone in the entire complex doesn't come home ever day to a note on their door about the latest rule they have decided to put in place. If you want a place that you feel management wants you there and you feel stress free at home, then RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN away from New Falls Apartments or any property under the same management
I've never experienced a place in my life the the main goal of the management company seems to be making sure their tenants are miserable. I sure one day i will come home to a note on my door reminding all tenants they must hold the TV remote in their right hand. I"m only slightly exaggerating
Don't rent here, you'll be miserable
