This location is basically a scam. They rescheduled my appointment multiple times, then simply cancelled it and told us to drop off our paperwork because they would get to it faster this way. After dropping off the paperwork and being assured multiple times not to worry, I then called on tax day for an update, only to be told that nothing was filed and they couldn't do it. We had a family friend help us with filing at the last minute because of their incompetence.
They also tried to upsell us and tell us our taxes were complicated. Family friend told us they were full of it, nothing complicated about our taxes. Glad we never gave them a cent. Will be filing ourselves next year, this place is absolutely not worth the hassle.

Normally I have a great experience at this location Jodi C my tax pro is awesome . Have had my taxes done here for at least the past 6 or 7 years. This year I dropped my taxes off on 03/05 and I called the office numerous times to see when they would be ready to pick up I got a text that I had an appt on 04/05 and called the office as I couldn't make that appt but was told I did not need to come in because that was the day they would start working on my taxes. Here it is 04/24/2023 and I don't know if my 2022 taxes were even filed by the deadline of 04/18/2023, and I have never been late filing my taxes. If they were not filed on time its NOT my fault and I respectfully request that you absorb any penalty fee that I may be charged. This is not acceptable customer service and I also request a discount on the preparation of my taxes due to this issue. I would give 0 stars if there were an option

LONG STORY but have to tell it... This location Low Street, Newburyport (tax accountant Pam ) does not deserve even one star. Had to hit 1 star in order to write my review. CUSTOMERS BEWARE! This place is awful. Took 7-1/2 weeks to do my mom's short-form taxes. kept saying "not ready" every time we went in!! \After 6-weeks I said what the heck is going on, her taxes are short form and will probably take all of 1/2 of your time. A voice from behind the cubicles says "I have those ones, I will get them done this weekend you can pick them up on Monday 4/4) Monday, I drive all the way up to Newburyport, and NOPE not done. The person preparing her taxes (PAM) comes out and says
"they are not ready, I said I would call you when they were." I argued "NO YOU DID NOT, YOU SAID THEY WOULD BE DONE MONDAY 4/4/TONIGHT"
she responded rudely "well they're not done and I will call you when they are"
The next day (Tuesday 4/5) my mom gets a call your taxes are done "FINALLY", I drive up to Newburyport again (from Burlington) and arrive at 5:30 PM - they were CLOSED. WEBSITE shows are open until 7:00 PM.
call the next day, what time are you open until, "6:00" I was told, I said the website says 7:00, I show up at 5:30 last night, and you were closed. she replied we are here until 6:00 PM
Once again I drive to Newburyport from Burlington and on my way decided to call just to be sure this shady rip-off tax place is open and she tells me they close at 5:00 !!!!! I said make up your mind, the website says 7:00, earlier you tell me 6:00 and now you say 5:00"????!!!!! The cost was $230.00 for the short form and 7-weeks of frustration! DON'T GO HERE, I DOUBT THEY WILL BE IN BUSINESS MUCH LONGER AND EVERYPLACE IS LESS EXPENSIVE. shop around you will see the AVERAGE PRICE charges $150. OR LESS!!
HORRIBLE PLACE, PAM WAS ABSOLUTELY THE RUDEST INDIVIDUAL TO WORK WITH. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
