image We recently stayed at the New Bedford Harbor Hotel for a week. The staff was very kind and informative. They answered all kinds of questions about local attractions, restaurants, parking on the street and in the lot as well as the app to pay for my metered parking when it cost. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and felt safe. Thank you for a great stay in New Bedford, MA!

image First and foremost - I am always willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. I have worked in hospitality all of my life and believe in treating people with respect, empathy and fairness.
That said, my husband and I were working with this hotel to secure a room block for our upcoming reception. We spoke multiple times with the events manager. We received inconsistent and conflicting information. After multiple weeks of delayed and inconsistent communication, the manager finally verbally confirmed with me that she had secured our room block and would be sending over the contract via email shortly. That never happened and when I followed up again, she told me she was at "negative rooms" and said she would look into the issue and contact me again. I looped back a week later and left three messages for her and eventually asked to speak to the General Manager. All of my calls were not returned. Finally I was able to speak with her and she said "we have no rooms available" with no apology, no accountability and no professionalism. She stated that they are currently "without a General Manager".
All things said, we completely would've understood if someone had simply said "I'm so sorry, I thought we had a room block for you but we do not. I apologize". Instead they deflected any type of ownership and offered not even a simple apology. Truly disappointing and sadly reflects that good, valued customer service is lacking with this hotel and ownership. I hope they are able to either staff it appropriately or train their staff to do their job to a standard level.

image Great location in downtown New Bedford. Clean comfortable accommodation.
Friendly staff.
It's not the best hotel breakfast, BUT there are plenty of restaurants in the area to have a bite.
