We had a wonderful stay at Kaede b&b. We stayed for one night as one leg of a bike trip. The hosts were very accommodating and also helped orient us on what to expect on the roads. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great! The location was convenient as well. It was a short walk to the town center and a doable walk to True North.

Jason and Makiko are wonderful hosts! We stayed at Kaede for a night to attend a wedding nearby in Ipswich. The property is beautiful, warm, welcoming, and lovingly maintained. Offsite parking behind the inn was a huge plus and provided peace of mind. The location is as good as it gets - super close to the town center and walkable to all the restaurants and shops. The amenities in the room and the bed were thoughtful and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic - I had the Japanese breakfast and my husband had the stuffed French toast. Both were prepared fresh and really tasty. They also provide fresh coffee, tea, and orange juice. We enjoyed our stay here and will be returning the next time we visit the north shore. Walkability: Extremely walkable to the center of town, shops and restaurants. Noteworthy details: Thoughtful Japanese accents, very cute earthenware plates for breakfast!

Perfectly clean and very comfortable, with a jovial host. Wonderful breakfast, whether you get the western style or Japanese style. Right in the historic section of town, half a block from the commercial district. Great experience.
