Rogers and Brown House Bed & Breakfast

I actually booked this place for one night through booking.com. Then, a month later, I was contacted by someone with teenage level grammar, telling me I had to book a second night because it was peak season. They should have ironed out their booking process but they put it on me to resolve the issue instead. Booking.com eventually found a comparable place nearby but I would never recommend this place to anyone. This is solely based on my interaction with them and their inability to take responsibility.

The innkeepers, Frank and Joanne are the perfect hosts. Welcoming, kind and always putting their guests first. The inn is meticulously maintained both inside and out. The grounds are lovely with many different types of flowers, trees and bushes. Joanne is an artist. She had painted a mural of the Ipswich area on the walls, perfect artistic accent to the other furniture in the room. The Queen Size bed was very comfortable, like new, plenty of linens. Frank prepared breakfast every morning, fresh seasonal fruit every day, eggs, blueberry pancakes, French toast, pastries and lots of great coffee. The location is perfect to downtown Ipswich, Glochester, Rockport and Essex and all the local shops, beaches and harbors. The Hellenic Center is just a few hundred yards down the road. It was very convenient since we were visiting to attend our niece’s wedding. My husband and I enjoyed every moment of our stay. I would not hesitate to stay with Frank and Joanne on our next visit to the area and recommend the in to stay, true New England Hospitality. 🙂
