We went to Robinson HW this morning to drop off our broken lawnmower for repair. Two employees took it upon themselves to remove our lawnmower from the back of my Lexus without our verbal consent. The manager of the repair department was present for the initial removal. He then went inside.
When the employees placed the lawnmower on the ground, it was apparent that one of the employees had misjudged the distance from the car. My rear bumper received a huge gash, as a result of his negligence. One of the two employees was extremely contrite. The other was silent. The contrite employee went to get the manager.
When the manager came back to us, he immediately stated We are not responsible for loading or unloading any vehicles, although he said NOTHING when his employees were UNLOADING the lawnmower from my vehicle.
When my wife went inside to deal with the paperwork for the lawnmower, the manager reiterated several times that the damage to my car was not Robinson Hardwares responsibility and refused to apologize. When my wife pressed him on his position he threatened to refuse service because she was giving him a hard time.
Now I have a $1,000 repair thats my responsibility.

Good local shop. Helpful, knowledge staff. Just wish I was told about their "rewards card" before spending 3k at the store (snowblower/lawn equip). Realized they had one during a later purchase, girl at the register asked: do you have a reward card? I said no, and she just proceeded to give me the total, instead of asking if I wanted a card? Strange. So I just paid, and left the store. Also brought a mower blade for sharpening. Friendly interaction but it took them a week to tell me it couldn't be sharpened and needed to order a new one and took about 2 wks to arrive. All in all I like the shop and recommend trying them if you're in the area...
