We went to Robinson HW this morning to drop off our broken lawnmower for repair. Two employees took it upon themselves to remove our lawnmower from the back of my Lexus without our verbal consent. The manager, Chuck, of the repair department was present for the initial removal. Chuck then went inside. When the employees placed the lawnmower on the ground, it was apparent that one of the employees had misjudged the distance from the car. My rear bumper received a huge gash, as a result of his negligence. One of the two employees was extremely contrite. The other was silent. The contrite employee went to get the manager. When the manager came back to us, he immediately stated We are not responsible for loading or unloading any vehicles, although he said NOTHING when his employees were UNLOADING the lawnmower from my vehicle. When my wife went inside to deal with the paperwork for the lawnmower, the manager reiterated several times that the damage to my car was not Robinson Hardwares responsibility and refused to apologize. When my wife pressed him on his position he threatened to refuse service because she was giving him a hard time. Now I have a $1,000 repair thats my responsibility.

Their work is great....I've been dealing with them for years now, I bought my snow blower from them and other random stuff. I'd give them 4 stars except my riding mower, a Poulon which granted I bought elsewhere, took 6 weeks to get a replacement carburetor, a battery and a tune up. It was frustrating, but their staff were always pleasant and the mower runs great, it was just a very long process
