I've been here a few times.   For the most part, it was a standard plumbing store, but from what I'm told, you'd rather get your stuff here than at a big box store because it is a better quality.  I'm not sure how true that is, but I'd rather buy here anyway because it is a local thing.Anyway,  just the other day I was replacing my garbage disposal and realized "oh, damn, I don't have any plumber's putty".  This place is literally a stone's throw from my house.  I called, and they were CLOSED!  It was 4:30!  How early and crappy!  But the guy who answered the phone said to come by anyway, even though he knew  nothing of the business just so he could help me out.  I bought a small thing of putty, he was a really nice guy, and we parted ways.  I will continue going here for anything I need plumbing related.  It's close, and every time I've ever had a project they've come up big.

I visited this company to buy oil burner parts since my burner failed to work for more than 30 seconds at a time and black smoke filled my basement.  The person I met with there, his name was Packey, was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful with not only the selling of the correct burner parts but offered a wealth of knowledge for trouble shooting the issues at hand.  He was extremely kind, patient and demonstrated a very high level of expertise.  I couldn't have been any happier with my entire experience at Interstate Plumbing - I am just THRILLED to say the least!

INCREDIBLY RUDE!   I went to purchase a tub diverter spout.  There was a man in the office hanging out with a dog, and the lights were out in the supply warehouse.I was told "We're sorta closed".  I replied " Its not 400PM".  It was 3:42 PM.  Then I was told the secretary went home early.I asked whether or not I could get the part, so the man said he would look but they are probably out.  He went to the parts area and said "you're lucky, you got the last one".It's a common part, I don't think I got the last one.  He then took payment then immediately said "you're welcome" while handing me change. Basically I'm not only a customer but an ingrate too!  This behavior is not acceptable and there are other businesses  who truly appreciate customers.Interstate Plumbing and Heating is best avoided, and deserves "negative stars" if it  were possible.
