Decided to post an honest view here, reason being, when I was looking into this apartment complex I could not find recent reviews or constructive criticism. My views having been a resident here: The initial process of trying to secure an apartment to lease is extremely difficult - the staff lacks professionalism and has poor communication. I felt like the leasing agent a lot of the time in the beginning, simply because I was the one: reaching out for updates, setting up a tour or schedule to meet up to review paperwork, ensuring which building and apartment was available and confirming move in dates/times. The lease agent here did not seem to be aware of what was going on or what was actually available. Washco will not answer your emails or phone calls often. They were very disorganized and do not seem to know what is available or which buildings the apartments are in. I also found it very unusual that their leasing office does not have a set regular schedule of management being on site. Supposedly they are only here on Thursdaysbut even then there is no set schedule of when theyre around. The actual unit I was in was not bad at all. Its a good floor plan, around 1,200sq ft. I had the 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. Seems every apt unit has different appliances and flooring, there is no streamline of design at this complex. They will replace appliances or flooring with mismatched pieces, most likely to keep their spending budget low. When I moved in I had to do my own maintenance on the shower because their team did not correctly seal the shower heads so water was spraying in all directions over the drywall. Along with that there were other odds and ends I had to do handy work on to get my unit up to par (AC Unit not cooling/low Freon, cleaning, etc). The actual interior of the buildings NEED a lot of help and money put towards them by WashCo. Therere missing lightbulbs/lights are out, spiderwebs hanging from all areas of the inside of the buildings. The maintenance on their HVAC has not been done in years, many residents AC units outside seem to be hanging on by a thread. They do have a lawn team out here cutting the grass regularly, which keeps the exterior nice. They also have a cleaning team that comes by each week to vacuum the main hallways. Overall the actual units arent bad at all. The one I was placed in is spacious, has a sensible floor plan, water utilities was a flat monthly rate. There are already two ceiling fans in the unit so I did not have to install my own. The master bedroom is extremely large and guest bedroom is great for office space. I also got lucky being placed in a building with residents on my floor being clean and quiet. I do have someone who lives above me who you can hear running at all hours, so that can get to be a bit much. But if you luck out with having clean and respectful neighbors in your building your stay here is very comfortable. WashCo/Springfield Farms management does not do much to maintain their buildings, they kind of just keep it afloat just enough to rent out to tenants. Office staff is difficult to reach and I wouldnt recommend this place if youre someone who needs management assistance. Your time here really does come down to who your neighbors are in your building. Personally I enjoyed my time here but office staff needs ALOT of work. Update **** Recently they have gotten a new maintenance man named Charlie, who is wonderful!! Hes quick to respond, knowledgeable, great professionalism, and knows how to get things fixed in an appropriate timeframe. I even see him on the property on a regular basis doing upkeep. Hes really started turning this place around. Just for Charlie being around I would give this 4 stars to be here now! Thank you for all you do CHARLIE!! Best asset added to this complex in a long time.
